SALL
School As Living Labs
SALL is a European project bringing together 13 organizations from 12 different countries to propose a new approach to learning. We have adapted the Living Lab methodology in order to implement it in projects linking educational institutions to actors in their neighborhoods (business, trade, municipality, NGO, etc.) around the theme of food.
For its last year, the project is no longer limited to the field of food: any topical local issue can be considered!
Here, the students are not just “learners”: themselves and their ideas are involved in the creative process throughout the project.
The “Living Lab” is used to encourage collaboration between the different partners. A concrete problem is tackled through a cycle of 3 steps:
Co-creation of solution ideas after exploring the problem together.
· Fast and economical construction of certain elements of the solution to be tested (prototyping).
· Testing of these elements and collection of comments/advice to improve them.
This cycle can be repeated to refine the solution.
SALL is also an experience sharing platform. To discover the ongoing projects and the communities involved all over Europe visit the project platform : https://www.schoolofthefuture.eu/sall
The SALL project has received funding from the Horizon 2020 Program for Research and Innovation of the European Union under grant agreement n°871794
